Insights from the Sydney Franchising Bootcamp

Here are some great words of advice from the current franchisees who participated in the April round of Franchising Bootcamps at the Sydney Franchising Expo:

Ask yourself what your Return on Investment needs to be in regards to money and lifestyle.

When you become a franchisee you actually change bosses. You new bosses are the bank, your team, customers and family.

If you are working with your husband, wife or partner write down the goals you want to achieve as a franchisee. Write these separately from each other and then share and discuss.

Are you willing to train and support employees and able to trust them? If not, then perhaps look at franchises that don’t rely on employees.

Do you have an emotional connect with the brand and the products and services your franchise delivers?

Discover what is unique about the franchise system, products and services.

Form a relationship with a franchise banker first ... before you see a franchise lawyer and accountant.
