about us

Julia Camm created Corven with the intent and vision of helping organisations achieve more from their education and training efforts.

"There is no need to reinvent the wheel when it comes to workplace learning, we just need to ramp up our efforts when it comes to learning why and how" says Julia.

"Corven allows me to combine my years as an instructional designer, trainer and facilitator with my extensive academic focus on adult learning and workplace training."

We often call upon our network of seasoned campaigners when working with our clients, ensuring you get the right person for the job.

Corven's birthday is 15 February 2008 [which makes her an Aquarius, honest, original, inventive, independent and smart]

Julia Camm is the founder and lead consulting academic of Corven.

Since 1995, Julia has juggled full time consulting experience with higher education attention on workplace learning.

She started her professional career as the Learning & Development Manager for a food retail franchise in the mid-1990s. From there, she chose to consult to the Australian franchise sector and was a co-founder of a human resource firm.

She created Corven in 2008 and is a regular contributor to the international collective intellect on workplace learning and vocational training.

Julia is currently undertaking doctoral studies on how power and control impact workplace learning in regulated industries, with a specific focus on franchising.

In 2006, Julia was appointed by the Franchise Council of Australia to establish the Women in Franchising Network. Today, she continues to write and speak about the unique business factors experienced by women in franchising and business.

She’s always reading, thinking, writing and speaking on workplace learning and when she is isn’t, Julia is suitably distracted by her social dance card and her husband, the Pompous Goose.
